This is what happens to drones that fly over Russian medieval fairs

Source: VKontakte

Earlier this month, at the “Rusborg” medieval fair in Lipetsk, a participant managed to knock from the sky a quadrocopter micro-drone. He did it with a spear. The drone was flying over the fair, with the organizers' permission, filming the festivities.

The attack on the drone ended well, thankfully, with the spear-thrower reimbursing the drone's owner for the cost of his damaged machine. Next year, the fair's organizers say they want to hold a competition where participants will heave throwing knives at flying “dragons.”

This is probably the only drone that was ever shot down by anti-aircraft fire from the ground—in the form of a spear.
