A Russian artist known by the pseudonym Petro Wodkins has combined art and technology, creating what he says is a speaker with "monumental" acoustics. He calls it the "Sound of Power," and it is a speaker built into the cranium of a Putin bust. Wodkins says he's built 100 such speakers. "Never has Vladimir Putin sounded so good," he says.

Each bust is 37 centimeters (about 15 inches) tall and weighs 3.3 kilograms (about 7 pounds). The speakers can be connected using an auxiliary cable or Bluetooth. One unit retails for €1,111 ($1,250). The first and hundredth busts will be auctioned at the same price. Wodkins is accepting bids until October 7, which is the day Vladimir Putin celebrates his 63rd birthday.
