Ukrainian drones struck Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra, Governor Ruslan Kukharuk said.

The drones hit an industrial facility in the Surgut district, where a fire broke out, he said.

“Emergency services are working at the scene. Specialists are currently assessing the scale and nature of the damage caused. I am personally overseeing the situation,” the governor said. He did not provide further details, including which enterprise was hit.

Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug lies more than 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ says the Surgut Gas Condensate Stabilization Plant named after Viktor Chernomyrdin (a Gazprom subsidiary) was hit.
