Russian strike on two passenger buses in Ukraine’s Kramatorsk kills 33
A Russian strike on Kramatorsk killed 33 people, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.
The strike likely involved a guided aerial bomb, the regional prosecutor’s office said. Two buses carrying passengers were at the center of the attack.
Another 18 people were injured, in addition to the 33 killed.
Kramatorsk is located about 15 kilometers (9 miles) from the front line and regularly comes under drone attacks as well as artillery shelling.
Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are the two largest cities in Donbas still under Ukrainian control. Russian authorities call their capture or voluntary surrender a mandatory condition for ending the war.
