U.S. President Donald Trump said he would call Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a possible plague outbreak in Russia.

Trump told reporters the call would take place soon, after they asked whether he had already discussed the plague with Putin.

Asked what U.S. intelligence agencies are saying about the situation, Trump said he would share that information “tomorrow,” AFP reported.

Russian state news agencies, including TASS and RIA Novosti, published briefs about the upcoming call between Trump and Putin but did not specify what the American president planned to discuss with his Russian counterpart.

Talk of a possible plague outbreak in the Irkutsk region began after an employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute died at a hospital in the town of Shelekhov. Sources who spoke to several media outlets reported that she may have had pneumonic plague. People of Baikal reported that several hospitals in Irkutsk had been placed under quarantine. There has been no confirmation or denial of this information.

Rospotrebnadzor officially said the woman’s cause of death was “pneumonia of undetermined etiology.” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov urged Russians to rely only on official information from Rospotrebnadzor about the possible plague outbreak.
