A St. Petersburg court sentenced blogger Alexey Podnebesny to three years in a penal colony for indecent acts involving a minor, Mediazona reported.

He was also suspected of having sexual intercourse with a teenager, but the court ruled that he could not be punished on that count because the statute of limitations had expired. Prosecutors had sought seven years in prison for Podnebesny.

Podnebesny was detained in August 2024. According to investigators, he committed indecent acts with a 15-year-old follower of his. A video of them kissing was posted in a fan group for Podnebesny. The blogger said he didn’t know the girl’s real age. Before his sentencing, he also said he had wanted to marry her.

Podnebesny has called himself an “anti-feminist” and the “creator of the theory of vaginocapitalism and sex communism.” Media outlets call him an incel; members of this movement believe women control men through sex.
