Average household utility rates in Russia are expected to rise 11% in July 2027, up from the 8.7% increase authorities previously projected
Russia’s Economic Development Ministry forecasts an average 11% increase in utility rates on July 1, 2027. It projects average increases of 8.6% on July 1, 2028, and 7.6% on July 1, 2029.
The figures are higher than the ministry’s earlier projections of 8.7% for 2027, 7.1% for 2028, and 6.1% for 2029, according to Faridaily. The ministry attributed the revisions to rising inflation and larger projected increases in gas and electricity rates.
The planned average utility rate increase of 9.9% on October 1, 2026, remains unchanged.
