Three children are among the four people reportedly killed in Russia’s latest strikes on the Kyiv region
Russian forces have been striking Ukraine’s Kyiv region for more than 24 hours, damaging 31 sites across five districts, said Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the region’s military administration.
Four people were killed in the attacks: three children and a woman. Tkachenko did not say exactly where they died. He said one child was wounded in a strike on the Vyshhorod district on the evening of September 19.
Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, meanwhile, said three people were killed in the region, two of them children, and that a private home was damaged. It did not say where.
The heaviest damage was in the Fastiv district, Tkachenko said, where strikes hit 24 sites, among them homes, industrial and utility buildings, the grounds of an agricultural business, and 17 vehicles.
The Obukhiv, Brovary, and Bucha districts were also hit. The strikes are ongoing, Tkachenko said.
