Ukrainian military strikes Ozon warehouse and oil refinery in Russia

Ukrainian drones and missiles struck Taganrog overnight on September 15, damaging a warehouse belonging to the marketplace Ozon along with several residential buildings, stores, and administrative buildings, Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar said. No one was injured, according to the governor.

Ozon said a logistics partner’s delivery hub in Taganrog was evacuated over a missile threat. The company said goods from sellers “were never accepted” at the hub, adding that “it performs other operations.”

The Ukrainian monitoring project Exilenova+ said one of the strike’s targets was the G.V. Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, which repairs and upgrades military aircraft.

Ukrainian drones also struck Russia’s Samara region, damaging one industrial facility, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said without elaborating. The independent Telegram channel Astra and Ukrainian monitoring channels reported that the target was Rosneft’s Syzran oil refinery.

On September 14, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine had agreed not to strike Russian energy infrastructure — and that Russia had allegedly agreed to do the same. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Ukraine’s readiness for such a deal but voiced doubt that Russia would follow through. Financial Times sources said that Trump had jumped the gun in announcing the energy truce.
