Five injured after Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Sochi

Ukraine’s military launched a drone attack on Krasnodar Krai overnight on September 14. In Sochi, the regional emergency response headquarters reported that five people, including a child, were injured by “falling drone debris”. One of the injured, an adult, was hospitalized, while the rest received outpatient care. Three private homes were damaged.

Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar said air defenses shot down 50 drones over the region, including over Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, and Aksai. He said there were no casualties, but “there’s damage on the ground,” adding that several cars, residential buildings, and power lines were damaged.

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 399 Ukrainian drones overnight.
