McDonald’s in Ukraine to shorten menu at some restaurants over supply disruptions
McDonald’s Ukraine said some menu items may be temporarily unavailable at certain restaurants because of disruptions in product deliveries.
“To maintain a stable supply of the most popular dishes, some restaurants may temporarily switch to a shortened menu, so the selection may differ from restaurant to restaurant,” the company said in a statement quoted by the Ukrainian news outlet RBC-Ukraine.
The chain said the missing items will return to menus once it becomes possible to guarantee stable deliveries.
Customers can check a specific restaurant’s current menu through the McDonald’s app, delivery partner apps, or in person, the company added.
McDonald’s did not specify which regions would see the shortened menu. Ukrainian media had previously reported that some items were missing from the chain’s locations in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
Russian forces have stepped up strikes in recent months on distribution centers and warehouses belonging to Ukrainian retail chains. Some products have started disappearing from store shelves in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
