Russia strikes Odesa, damaging apartment building and injuring 17

Russian forces struck Odesa overnight on September 3, said Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration.

The attack damaged 20 apartments in a 21-story residential building and 12 cars parked nearby, said Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa region.

Seventeen people were injured, including three children.

Russian forces regularly strike Odesa and the Odesa region with missiles and drones. Russia’s Defense Ministry says the targets are infrastructure, including ports and warehouses linked to the Ukrainian military. Odesa authorities, however, report hits on civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.
