Ukrainian drones again strike Wildberries warehouse in Russia, killing one, injuring several
Ukrainian drones struck Russia’s Voronezh region, killing a local resident, Governor Alexander Gusev said.
A 49-year-old man who was outside during the attack was severely injured in the Novousmansky district and later died in the hospital, Gusev said. Two more people were injured: one outside during the strike, the other at the “site of a large logistics center,” according to Gusev.
Fires also broke out in the same district “at two warehouses belonging to a major company,” the governor said, without specifying which company was involved.
The press service of the merged company RWB (Wildberries & Russ) reported that its logistics facilities in the Voronezh region “were evacuated in accordance with safety requirements.” Ukrainian Telegram channels have published photos and videos of a large fire.
Air defense forces shot down 15 Ukrainian drones over Voronezh and other districts of the region overnight, Gusev claimed.
The Orenburg region also came under attack. Governor Yevgeny Solntsev warned overnight on August 11 of a possible drone attack and the closure of the airport, but gave no account of the strike’s aftermath.
Ukrainian monitoring channels claim the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery is on fire in Orsk. A primary oil refining unit was hit there, the Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported. A mechanical plant was also attacked, according to the Telegram channel Supernova+.
