Rosneft oil refinery catches fire in Russia’s Far East

A fire broke out at an oil refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai, the state news agency TASS reported, citing the plant’s press service.

The fire started in auxiliary equipment and caused no casualties, the press service said, not specifying the cause.

Ukrainian Telegram channels that monitor the war published footage of the blaze but likewise did not report a cause.

The Komsomolsk refinery, a Rosneft subsidiary, sits at least 6,000 kilometers (3,700 miles) from the border with Ukraine.
