12 killed in Ukrainian drone strike on Russia’s Nizhnekamsk

A Ukrainian drone attack on Nizhnekamsk killed 12 people and injured 39, the press service of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on August 10.

Tatarstan officials said Nizhnekamsk was one target in a massive Ukrainian drone attack that struck industrial and civilian facilities across the region that morning.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan, declared mourning for those killed.

The Ukrainian Telegram channels Supenova+ and Exilenova+ reported a fire at an oil refinery in the city.

The independent Telegram channel Astra suggested the fire broke out at the Nizhnekamskneftekhim plant, part of an industrial zone that also houses a Tatneft refinery and the Taif-NK oil refining complex.
