Ukrainian drones struck Moscow region overnight on August 4, killing five people and injuring six others, Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported.
Vorobyov said the Chekhov municipal district sustained the most damage. A drone strike ignited fires in the Novoselki industrial zone, including one at a warehouse he did not identify; that fire has since been extinguished.
An electrical substation and an administrative building were also damaged. In the village of Solnyshkovo, “drone debris” damaged a private house and a car.
The governor said the drone attack on the region was still underway.
The independent Telegram channel Astra, citing eyewitnesses, reported that drones were attacking Wildberries warehouses in Chekhov. The Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ also reported this.
Drones also struck Leningrad region, Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported, saying “damage was recorded in a warehouse zone” near Krasny Bor, a settlement in the Tosno district. One person was injured.
Wildberries’ press service reported an attack on the company’s logistics facility in Krasny Bor, where a fire broke out. The company stated that no one was injured and that “an evacuation had been carried out in advance” at the site.
Telegram channels have published video showing the marketplace’s warehouse ablaze in Krasny Bor.
