Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure in Sumy with guided aerial bombs overnight on August 4, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the region’s military administration.

Two children — girls ages 5 and 10 — and an elderly woman were killed. Hryhorov said the children’s bodies were pulled from the rubble of their home. Four more people sought medical help for acute stress reactions.

Russian forces also struck Mykolaiv, where an attack on a residential area killed an 89-year-old woman and injured seven people, including two girls ages 2 and 12, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 136 attack drones at Ukraine overnight on August 4; 117 of the drones were shot down or jammed, the Air Force said.
