Wildberries bans employees from bringing smartphones into warehouses

Wildberries has banned employees from bringing smartphones into its warehouses starting August 3, according to the Russian Telegram news channel Ostorozhno Novosti, which cited an internal company notice.

According to the notice, photographing or filming during air raid alerts “threatens security, could reveal the positions of air defense forces, violates the requirements of Russian law, and could result in administrative liability or, in some cases, criminal liability.”

Employees are now allowed to carry only button phones without cameras, which Wildberries said will let them “stay in touch with loved ones.”

The Telegram channel Klub partnerov na marketpleisakh (“Marketplace Partners Club”) also reported the ban, publishing a similar excerpt from the notice.
