Video appears to show rooftop air defenses being installed on Moscow business tower wedged between GRU base and residential buildings
An air-defense system has reportedly been installed atop Nordstar Tower, a 42-story building near the Begovaya metro station in Moscow.
Military analyst Massimo Frantarelli posted video of the apparent installation to X. Russian investigative outlet iStories drew attention to the footage. Frantarelli said the system appeared to be a variant of the Pantsir-SMD-E.
Nordstar Tower is the second-largest office complex in Moscow. The building is owned by Region, a company linked to Rosneft, which itself leases 3,500 square meters (37,675 square feet) of office space there.
The main facilities of the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency, are located near the tower, directly adjacent to residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens.
