Ukrainian drones strike oil refinery and residential building in Russia
Ukrainian drones struck Ufa overnight, Bashkortostan Governor Radiy Khabirov said.
Several drones were shot down on approach to oil refineries in the city. Debris from one fell in an industrial zone, starting a fire on the grounds of a facility, Khabirov said.
A drone also hit a multi-story residential building on Gafuri Street, where a fire broke out. No casualties were reported, Khabirov said.
Astra, an independent Telegram channel, analyzed published footage and concluded that the fire in Ufa was burning at the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said air defense forces shot down 147 Ukrainian drones overnight, over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Smolensk, Tula, and Kaluga regions, Krasnodar Territory, Russian-occupied Crimea, Bashkortostan, and Adygea, as well as over the Azov and Black seas.
