Russian drone strike in Ukraine’s Sumy region kills family of four in their home
Russian forces attacked Ukraine’s Sumy region with drones, killing an entire family, Governor Oleh Hryhorov said on Tuesday morning.
One of the drones struck a home in the border village of Chernechchyna in the Krasnopillia community, where a couple lived with their two sons, ages four and six. All four were killed, and their bodies were pulled from the rubble, Hryhorov said.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that a two-story and a one-story residential building were hit, sparking fires.
The Ukrainian Air Force had earlier warned of overnight drone threats in the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and Sumy regions.
