Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport has set up a designated area for passengers whose flights have been delayed or canceled amid restrictions imposed due to Ukrainian drone attacks, airport spokesperson Anna Zakharenkova told state media on Tuesday.

“In addition to keeping passengers informed and handing out free water, airport staff are doing everything they can to assist travelers. This includes providing rest areas and handing out mattresses,” she said.

According to the Telegram channel Baza, which cited passengers, families with children are being prioritized when it comes to receiving mattresses.

Zakharenkova added that the airport is currently operating “as normal and without restrictions.” “Arriving flights are being accepted as they land, and departures are proceeding in order of priority and aircraft readiness,” she said.
