Zelensky vows ‘symmetrical response’ as Moscow threatens Ukraine for ‘playing drone games’ on Russian territory
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned on Tuesday that Moscow will retaliate for recent Ukrainian drone attacks on targets inside Russia. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised Kyiv's own “symmetrical response” should Russian attacks continue. “They in Russia must feel the consequences of what they are doing against Ukraine. And they will,” Zelensky said on social media, adding that his administration will pursue increased production of drones and missiles.
Speaking in Moscow, Peskov said ongoing diplomatic efforts will not inhibit Russian military actions. “Our president made it perfectly clear that nobody gets to play games with drones here in Russia. You want to cause trouble — you'll pay the price,” Vladimir Putin’s press secretary said in an interview with Rossiya Television correspondent Pavel Zarubin. “Whether there's a peace process or not, whether President Trump says something or not, Russia will ensure its security.”
