Man arrested in Stockholm for attempting to drive onto Russian Embassy grounds

Stockholm police arrested a man on Tuesday after he attempted to drive a car onto the grounds of the Russian Embassy.

A police spokesperson told the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that the man was arrested for attempting “gross unlawful entry onto the premises.” The individual is approximately 45 years old, but no information about his motives or nationality has been disclosed.

The incident was reported to the police at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time by a security guard at the Russian Embassy.
