Ukrainian drones attack Russia’s Saratov and Engels, reportedly striking the Kristall oil depot

Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels during the night, damaging an industrial facility, according to Roman Busargin, the governor of the Saratov region.

A fire broke out at the site, which Busargin did not identify. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties, he wrote.

Residents of Engels reported hearing explosions near an oil depot during the night and shared photos of a fire, according to the Telegram channel Baza. The channel Astra also reported a fire in Engels.

On X, users known for geolocation analysis concluded that the Kristall oil depot, operated by Russia’s Federal Agency for State Reserves (Rosrezerv), was struck.
