When asked how far Russia should go during potential peace negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky quipped that Russia should “go to hell.” He made the remark during a joint briefing with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Kyiv.
What should Russia do? Go to hell. Ideally, it should realize what it’s doing — it’s killing us, while we are defending ourselves and fighting the enemy. For now, our plans remain unchanged. Of course, we very much want to grow stronger so that this war can end in 2025. Apologies for the undiplomatic language.
Commenting on Zelensky’s remarks, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS that the Ukrainian president was a “low-grade act” that had come at a high cost to the Ukrainian people.
