Two people were killed as a result of a Ukrainian strike on the Fatezhsky district in Russia’s Kursk region on November 23, according to the Russian Investigative Committee's Main Military Investigative Directorate. In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the directorate said the attack involved “three tactical missiles targeting the village of Bolshoye Zhirovo, where civilians were present.”

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported that Ukrainian forces had struck a Russian S-400 air defense division near the village of Lotarevka, also in the Fatezhsky district, on the same day. Bolshoye Zhirovo is about 18 miles from Lotarevka. The ministry stated that the attack involved five ATACMS missiles, three of which were intercepted, while two reached their targets. The strike reportedly damaged a radar station and injured Russian soldiers, though the ministry did not disclose the number of casualties.
