Russia’s federal censorship agency, Roskomnadzor, said Friday that it’s investigating the language-learning app Duolingo for possible “distribution of LGBT propaganda,” according to Russian state media.
A day earlier, local media outlets in the city of Novosibirsk reported that an activist organization had filed a complaint against Duolingo with Roskomnadzor after receiving complaints from parents that the app contains sentences that refer to the existence of LGBT people.
