Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin told Ukrainian outlet Suspilne that preliminary information indicates that Russia used missiles developed in North Korea to carry out the strike on Kharkiv, a city in eastern Ukraine, on January 2.

“The results of the preliminary scientific and technical expert examination confirm that the missile fired at central Kharkiv on January 2 was a short-range missile, developed in North Korea,” said Kostin.

According to Kostin, a comprehensive examination is currently underway to definitively identify the missile. He added that they are currently searching for other ammunition fragments used in the recent attacks on the Kharkiv and Odesa regions.
