In a video message, Chechen Governor Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his support for Palestine, but said he was against war in the region, which “unlike other conflicts [could] escalate into something bigger.”
Kadyrov offered to send Chechen forces to act as peacekeepers and “restore order.” He said that Muslim countries should band together and “call on those [they] call friends, Europe and the entire West, to not bomb civilians under the pretext of destroying militants.”
At least 900 people in Israel and 687 people in the Gaza Strip have already been killed in the Israel-Hamas conflict, according to current reports.
