Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency conducted an operation in the Russian city of Kursk, attacking a Federal Security Service (FSB) administrative building in the city center and an oil refinery near an airfield, a source from the agency told Ukrainska Pravda.

According to the source, a drone hit the FSB building, causing a fire. There is no information about the scale of the damage or if there were any injuries, said the source.

On the morning of September 24, Kursk governor Roman Starovoyt reported that a Ukrainian drone hit an administrative building in Kursk’s Central District, causing minor damage to the roof.

The source didn’t specify the target of the attack. Journalists analyzed videos taken by eyewitnesses and concluded that the attack hit a regional FSB office.

Another explosion was later reported on social media networks. The governor’s press service reported that these reports were not true.

Pro-Kremlin Telegram channel Mash wrote that four drones attacked Kursk and that their targets were an administrative building and a station.

Starovoyt said that air defense systems were activated in the Kursk region.
