In annexed Crimea, the Russian-installed authorities held eight auctions for previously nationalized properties belonging to Ukrainian businessmen, reported Vladimir Konstantinov, head of parliament in annexed Crimea.
“Buy and sell agreements totalling over 815 million rubles (around $8.5 million) were concluded. The lots included residential and commercial properties,” said Konstantinov.
State-owned Russian media RIA Novosti wrote that this was the first time nationalized assets were auctioned off in annexed Crimea.
The Russian-installed authorities in annexed Crimea plan to sell approximately 100 nationalized assets, including an apartment belonging to the family of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
