Kremlin spokesman says Putin will not attend Prigozhin’s funeral

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the funeral of Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin. In a briefing with journalists on August 29, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said “the President’s attendance is not expected.”

Peskov also noted that the Kremlin has no specific information about Prigozhin’s funeral. “All decisions on the matter are made by family and friends,” said Peskov.
