One person was killed and four were injured in a shelling attack on the village of Gorkovsky in Russia’s Belgorod region on Wednesday, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.
According to Gladkov, five shells exploded near a school in the village’s center. He blamed the Ukrainian military for the attack.
“The worst case scenario has happened: one person was killed — a man who sustained fatal shrapnel wounds. Four other people were injured: three men were wounded by shrapnel in their lower extremities, and a woman sustained a contusion. They’re being transported to the hospital by ambulance,” he said.
