Update: The death toll of Russia’s attack on Lyman has risen to nine, according to regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko.
On the morning of July 8, Russian forces shelled the city of Lyman in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, reports regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko.
The governor said multiple rocket launchers carried out the attack. A house and a store were damaged in the shelling.
According to Ukraine’s Internal Affairs Ministry, nine people were killed and another 12 were injured.
Russian forces have not commented on the attack.
