Shelling in the Belgorod region hit the villages of Novaya Tavolzhanka and Bezliudovka, both in the Shebekinsky district, killing two women, reports regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Gladkov specified that an elderly woman was killed in Novaya Tavolzhanka. “She perished from the trauma she received,” Gladkov wrote on Telegram. He also reported that another resident of the village had shrapnel wounds to the left shoulder.
The second woman killed by shrapnel was in the village of Bezliudovka, said Gladkov. Another resident of the village suffered injuries to the chest and upper and lower extremities. He was treated at a local hospital.
The governor says that the Shebekinsky district had been under fire by the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the morning of June 3.
