Sergey Mamontov, a former United Russia district deputy from the Novosibirsk region, has been found guilty in a hit-and-run case.

While driving last October, Mamontov hit a 6-year-old boy, who was then hospitalized with a concussion and a fractured pelvis. Mamontov drove away from the scene, and only came to the police after the operatives began searching for his car.

Mamontov has now been sentenced to 10 months of corrective work and wage garnishment. His driver’s license was revoked last November, along with his United Party membership and deputy’s mandate.
