Wagner Group founder Evgeny Prigozhin said Thursday that shipments of ammunition for the mercenary company are on their way.
“The train has most likely left the station. For now, it’s only on paper, but we’ve been told that the key documents have been signed” Prigozhin said, thanking everybody who “applied the final bit [of pressure] so that they would start giving us ammunition.”
Since February 16, Evgeny Prigozhin has issued daily criticisms of the Russian Defense Ministry for not providing ammunition to Wagner Group. On February 20, he said that his mercenaries were experiencing a “total shell famine,” and on February 22, he posted a photo of Wagner fighters’ corpses and blamed the men’s deaths on the Defense Ministry.
