Transneft spokesman reports Ukrainian ‘shelling attempt’ on Bryansk oil pipeline

Igor Demin, the spokesman for Transneft, a state-owned Russian oil pipeline operator, has told TASS about a Ukrainian “shelling attempt” on a pumping station in the Bryansk region.

“No casualties resulted from the shelling. The damage is being repaired by the crew. The Druzhba oil pipeline is operating normally,” Demin said.

Earlier, the Telegram news outlet Mash reported that the Ukrainian military had launched a Tochka-U tactical missile at the Druzhba pipeline. The missile landed near the Novozybkovo oil pumping station, making it necessary to disconnect it from power.

On Tuesday night, Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz accused Ukraine of shelling the area around Novozybkovo, which led to power outages in the vicinity.
