Alexey Kudrin, the former head of Russia’s Audit Chamber, has announced that he has accepted an offer to join Yandex as a corporate development advisor:
Together with the management, I will develop the new holding’s corporate structure, which will enable the company’s steady long-term growth across all markets, including the international one.
Kudrin noted that one of his main goal is “to preserve the unique management and technological culture at Yandex.”

Earlier, a source close to the Yandex corporate leadership told Meduza that Kudrin was going to accept a temporary, possibly advisory role in the company at first. Once Yandex is split into separate Russian and international segments, Kudrin is expected to take charge of the company’s Russian side.
In late November, Yandex confirmed its plans of splitting the company into two business, one serving the Russian market, the other working internationally.
