200 troubled teens from Russia and annexed Ukrainian regions sent to Chechnya for ‘military-patriotic training’

The Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has announced the arrival of 200 teenagers for “military-patriotic training” in Chechnya.

The children come from different parts of Russia, as well as the Russian-annexed Ukrainian Donetsk and Luhansk regions. These are teenagers who are registered with the Russian police due to previous problems with juvenile justice.

Kadyrov notes that their stay in Chechnya is part of the federal program called Russia’s Teens.

Children will visit places of interest as part of an “intensive program,” said Kadyrov, mentioning their recent trip to the Russian Special Forces University and its boot camp as an example.
