Russia’s strike on Ukraine’s Kramatorsk killed 33 people aboard two passenger buses. Photos from the aftermath.
On October 8, Russia attacked Kramatorsk, a frontline city in Ukraine’s Donetsk region. The strike was likely carried out using a guided bomb. It hit two commuter buses carrying passengers. According to the latest figures, 33 people have died and 18 have been injured. The entire road was strewn with bodies. After the attack, authorities halted public transportation in Kramatorsk and the neighboring city of Sloviansk. These are the two largest cities in Donbas that remain under Ukrainian control.
Meduza is publishing photographs of the aftermath of the strike on Kramatorsk. We warn readers that some of the images are extremely difficult to look at.
