Drone hits same apartment building outside Moscow for second time. Photos.
In Kotelniki, a town just outside Moscow, one high-rise has now been hit by Ukrainian drones twice. The building, part of the Rusich residential complex in the Novye Kotelniki neighborhood, was damaged during a large-scale drone attack on the Moscow region on June 18 — and then again almost exactly three months later, on September 20, 2026. Kotelniki borders Moscow’s southeastern Kapotnya district, home to an oil refinery that has repeatedly been targeted by Ukrainian drones.
Rusich is a sprawling residential development comprising multiple buildings completed between 2019 and 2025. Both drone strikes hit the same high-rise, which was completed in 2021.
