The court hearing for Alexey Navalny’s lawsuit against the maximum-security prison where he is currently serving a nine-year sentence got underway in the Vladimir region on Friday, September 2. The Russian opposition leader filed the lawsuit against Penal Colony No. 6 in August, after its administration refused to disclose the purchaser of the products he manufactures in the prison. Navalny, who hasn't been photographed since June, took part in the trial via video link. Friday’s hearing also marked the first time the public has seen Navalny since he was thrown into solitary confinement three times in August.
