March of the Defenders Ukrainians commemorate fallen veterans of Donbas war on 30th independence anniversary

On August 24, a March of the Defenders of Ukraine took place in Kyiv, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence from the Soviet Union. Among the participants in the march were the children of fallen veterans of the war in eastern Ukraine, who carried photographs of their late parents.
