Putin attends Luzhkov's memorial service

On December 12, Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior held a memorial service for former Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, who managed the city for almost two decades, from 1992 until 2010. Vladimir Putin attended and personally expressed his condolences to Luzhkov’s family: his widow, billionaire Elena Baturina (center) and their daughters Elena (left) and Olga (right). Luzhkov will be buried in Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery.
