Woody Allen headlines Moscow International Film Week
American film director Woody Allen was a headline speaker at the Moscow city government’s International Film Week over the weekend.
Allen took part in the event via video link on August 24. His Q&A session was moderated by pro-Putin director Fyodor Bondarchuk.
Among other topics, according to Russian state media reports, the 89-year-old filmmaker spoke about AI, opining that it will never be able to produce works on the level of Tennessee Williams’s plays or Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s books.
Neither Woody Allen nor his representatives have commented publicly on his participation in the event.
