U.S. set to resume GLSDB bomb deliveries to Ukraine as ATACMS supply runs out — Reuters
The United States is preparing to resume deliveries of GLSDB (Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb) guided munitions to Ukraine, Reuters reported, citing two sources familiar with the weapon.
The glide-bombs were originally procured by the Biden administration as part of a military aid package for Ukraine. While some reports suggested GLSDB munitions had limited effectiveness — particularly against Russian electronic warfare systems — sources told Reuters that the weapons have since been upgraded to counter jamming.
The GLSDB has a range of approximately 100 miles. According to one Reuters source, Ukrainian forces last used these munitions several months ago. The renewed deliveries come as Kyiv is reportedly running low on ATACMS missiles.
The shipment could take place “in the coming days,” Reuters reported, as a GLSDB stockpile is already in Europe.
