Putin willing to discuss temporary truce in Ukraine — Bloomberg
Russia is ready to discuss a temporary truce in Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing sources familiar with the situation in Moscow.
According to the sources, the Kremlin wants to have a clear understanding of the key principles of a final peace agreement before halting hostilities.
Moscow will insist on defining the parameters of a potential peacekeeping mission in advance, including a list of countries that could potentially send peacekeepers to Ukraine, one source told Bloomberg.
U.S. and Ukrainian delegations are set to meet in Saudi Arabia next week to discuss a potential ceasefire deal between Kyiv and Moscow.
Earlier on Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened “large scale” sanctions against Russia if Moscow doesn’t agree to take part in ceasefire negotiations.
