Russian police raided the dormitory of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and issued military summonses to multiple students late last week, the Telegram channel “Ostorozhno, Moskva” reported on Sunday.
A 26-year-old student named Daniil told the channel that the police detained him in his dorm room early Friday morning.
I woke up, and there were several police officers standing by my bed. They didn’t introduce themselves or anything like that. They asked me to get my military ID, and I got it and showed it to them. In the end, they just told me to get dressed and that we were going to the enlistment office. I was still half-asleep, it was all very unexpected, and I didn’t gather my things properly. I went there without any important documents.
According to Daniil, he and two other students were taken to the military enlistment office, where they spent over seven hours. He said he was released that day but issued a summons for Monday, and the authorities did not return his passport.
